Ara mitama (荒御魂, sometimes 荒魂) is a concept from Shinto traditions. It refers to the rough, wild, or violent side of a kami's spirit. In this watercolor sketch, it just made sense to mash the angry spirit up with the classic "Y U NO..." rage face guy from the ancient annals of memes from generations past.
